10 years ago today, my 1963 VB1 150 got stolen from in front of the apartment I had in Portland, ME. Was chained to a tree. Someone cut the chain and must have thrown it into the back of a truck. I just wanted to throw a big fuck you out to whoever did it. Will some mod biggify please in case anyone has seen it since? ($Kay, you da bomb as always)

I feel your pain. had a bike ripped off from me as well a few years back. if I found it, I would burn it, though....granted, the thief would be chained to it when I did it, that way he would have something to ride to hell on. ...(No, I'm not still bitter about that. Why do you ask?)

As personal as cars are, I think there is something even more so about your two wheeled transportation. There is a real connection there. It's not that when you sell one it's any less personal, you just want to make sure it is going to a good home...kind of like a pet that you need to get rid of for whatever reason. You aren't going to just give it up to just anyone. I'm developing that connection now with my New(to me) Aprilia SR-50 Race. The original owner still checks in with me to be sure she's running well.

nice an SR-50 Race? Awesome! I still have a huge hankering for an RS50 in my life

I used to have a few Vespas, I still have a trapazoid headlamp 150 Super that hasn't been run in quite some time. Ten years ago I had a 78 P200E that was upped to 210. Many moons ago I had a VBB and a Lambretta SX. Always nice to pop into town on.

There have been times with her that I might have considered just giving her to you...but that's just life with Italiam machines. Mine has been modified quite a bit. Enough to where I don't consider it a scooter. Scooters can't do the speeds that she does or get there as fast. (Not to brag, she's just fast) Mine is a 2001, so still a "real" Aprilia 2 stroke from before they went under and were resurrected by Piaggio.

ha yeah I know all about Italians being temperamental. But yeah the real ones are great. RSV Mille is almost the only sport bike I would own. Get that thing out and running well though, sounds like a great bike. I have friends with 60mph Puch Mopeds. It is so much fun and cheap to make them into not what they are intended

Moped guys are nuts. I used to ride with a few from time to time when I had a qt-50. No way in hell am I going that fast on tires that thin! Still though, it's probably the most fun group of people I've ever ridden with. It's pretty damn hard to take yourself or anyone else seriously when you ride one of those!

haha yeah, but speaking of tires that thin, I had a Fuji (Subaru) Rabbit 90 that would pull 55 all day long on ped tires. Man that bike was the best. Always started and would run full bore all day.

Whoa, those are real unicorns. I always liked the look of those. Any idea where it is now?

Lambretta Sx has always been one of my favorite designs. It broke my heart when they reintroduced Labretta a few years ago and they were just rebadged Chinese disposable bikes.
